All Dutch health insurers have included reimbursement or partial reimbursement of a dental prosthesis in their plans. In the basic insurance 75% is covered for a denture every 5 years in order to have a comfort fit of dentures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Click Denture<\/h3>\n
\n\t

In case of severely shrinkage of the jaw we advise patients to consider a click denture.\u00a0 In consultation with the patient, we will then choose implants (usually on 2-4 implants in the jawbone) which will be place by our implantologist Linde van Groningen on which the client will finally receive a fixed prosthesis by means of a click system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Treatment<\/h3>\n
\n\t

During your first visit, the current state of your mouth will be established by means of an oral examination and, together with you, the dentist will go through your dental history, general health and your complaints and wishes. Subsequently, a treatment plan is made and the accompanying costs are calculated. On approval, we will start your course of treatment.<\/p>\n

At the first treatment, a temporary impression of both your jaws will be made. After some treatments and fitments, the final prosthesis will be placed. Together with you, your dentist will check whether the shape and aesthetics are good and whether your speech is not influenced too much by the prosthesis. Furthermore, your dentist will provide you with some explanation concerning the maintaining of your prosthesis and the way in which you should wear it.<\/p>\n

A dental prosthesis will last 5 to 8 years and a regular check-up (once a year) is needed to check if he denture needs to be adjusted to keep a perfect fit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
